Fox and Hounds: A Snowy Farmyard Game
How to Play
This game is for two players, one controlling the Geese Pack (Team 1) and the other playing as the Snowy Hunter (Team 2). The goal is to outmaneuver each other on a snowy farmyard board.
Board Setup
The game is played on an 8x8 grid. Each player starts with four Snow Geese (Geese Pack) and one Snowy Hunter (Snowy Hunter).
Piece Movement
- Snow Goose: Can move forward one space diagonally to the left or right, but cannot jump over other pieces.
- Snowy Hunter: Can move in any diagonal direction (up-left, up-right, down-left, down-right) by one space, but also cannot jump over other pieces.
Special Rules
- Welcome Popup: When you start the game, a welcome message will appear to guide you. This happens only once at the beginning.
- Turn Management: Each turn, you can click on any of your pieces to move them. You get an extra turn if one of your Snow Geese captures another piece.
- Game Over Popup: If all your Snow Geese are captured or if your Snowy Hunter reaches a specific region (the top-right corner and its adjacent squares), the game ends, and you see a message indicating who won.
Winning Conditions
The game is over when:
1. All of one team's characters (either all Snow Geese or the Snowy Hunter) are captured.
2. The Snowy Hunter reaches any of the specified cells in the top-right corner of the board.
Enjoy your snowy adventure!
