Wolves vs Penguins Chess 3D is a 3D chess game for 2 players: Wolves and Penguins.
Board and Setup
The game is played on an 8x8 grid board. Each side starts with:
- 2 Rooks
- 2 Knights
- 2 Bishops
- 1 Queen
- 1 King
- 8 Pawns
How Each Piece Moves and Captures
- Wolf Sentinel of the Northern Pass (Rook): Moves any number of squares straight up, down, left, or right. Cannot jump over pieces.
- Wolf Stormrider (Knight): Jumps in an L-shape (2 squares in one direction, then 1 square perpendicular). Can jump over pieces.
- Wolf Shadowseer (Bishop): Moves any number of squares diagonally. Cannot jump over pieces.
- Wolf Alpha of the Howling Peak (King): Moves 1 square in any direction. Can castle with a rook on its first move if the path is clear.
- Wolf Huntress of the Crimson Moon (Queen): Moves any number of squares straight or diagonally. Cannot jump over pieces.
- Wolf Scout of the Frozen Ridge (Pawn): Moves forward 1 or 2 squares on its first move, then 1 square forward. Captures diagonally forward. Can capture en passant if an opponent’s pawn moves past it.
- Penguin Drifter with Sled (Pawn): Moves forward 1 or 2 squares on its first move, then 1 square forward. Captures diagonally forward. Can capture en passant if an opponent’s pawn moves past it.
- Penguin Sentry with Ice-Mace (Rook): Same as the Wolf Sentinel.
- Penguin Scout on Ice Skates (Knight): Same as the Wolf Stormrider.
- Penguin Elder with Crystal Eye (Bishop): Same as the Wolf Shadowseer.
- Penguin Emperor in Snow Mantle (King): Same as the Wolf Alpha.

Special Rules
- Castling: The king can move 2 squares toward a rook (on its first move) if the rook is unmoved and the path is clear. The rook then moves to the other side of the king.
- Pawn Promotion: When a pawn reaches the opposite end of the board, it becomes a queen.
- En Passant: A pawn can capture an opponent’s pawn that has just moved 2 squares forward, as if it had only moved 1.
- King Safety: The king cannot be left in a position where it is attacked.
- Welcome and Game Over Messages: Popups appear at the start and end of the game.
How You Win
The game ends when one side has no pieces left. The player with remaining pieces wins. If both sides have no pieces left, it is a draw.
